1. PURPOSE:
a) To assist eligible Seychellois pensioners to:
(i) Purchase certain home appliances considered as essential for living, as per the
below list only:
✓ Cooker (gas/electric);
✓ Oven;
✓ Refrigerator;
✓ Washing Machine;
✓ Ceiling Fan;
✓ Air Conditioner;
✓ Water Heater;
✓ Water Dispenser;
✓ Microwave;
✓ Deep Freezer;
✓ Clothes dryer machine;
(ii) Repair defective electricals, such as defective light switch, minor wiring repairs,
etc;
(iii) Repair defective sewage system, such as septic tank overflow, etc;
(iv) Replace old or defective bathroom fittings, such as toilet, sink etc;
2. MAXIMUM LOAN AMOUNT: SCR10,000.00.
3. INTEREST RATE: 10% interest on the full amount of the loan
4. MAXIMUM LOAN REPAYMENT TERM: Maximum term of 1 year (12 months).
5. ELIGBILITY:
a) Applicant(s) must be a pensioner (65 years and older) and in receipt of a monthly
pension benefit.
6. LOAN DISBURSEMENT: The loan is disbursed based on the proforma invoices (appliances) /
quotations (repair works) provided.
7. SECURITY:
a) No collateral is required.
8. REQUIRED KYC DOCUMENTS: Required documents are proof of ID card, pension benefit,
proof of address, bank statement with 6 months’ transaction, etc.
9. PROCESSING FEE: SCR250.00 is payable by the applicant at the time of interview for the loan.
